GallifordTry plc employs 2200 people in their Construction and House building
divisions spread over 8 permanent offices and many sites around the UK.

The Brief

Intextra® must provide all employees with easy access to key company documents, procedures, news and information. 

The Solution

AWS were asked to run a pilot project with GallifordTry to enable them to showcase the concept across their business units. The ease and speed with which content can be added and links to their wider business systems made was very impressive. Within a few days they managed to achieve more than they had in many months with a previous attempt to create a bespoke Intranet.

“Our Strategy has been to roll out Intextra ‘out of the box’ across the group, starting with the Housing division and Group Services", says Martin Stacey, Group IT Director. "Once our people have become experienced users, we will look to integrate Intextra with our existing business systems to provide one recognised place where employees can access all key knowledge and information associated with their current task.

Intextra gave us the flexibility and functionality we needed, making intranet management simple and effective.”

Intextra’s use will be diverse across their business units. As well as being a key storage and retrieval means for documents and information, it will enable powerful search and analysis of their key performance indicators. They will feed data from back end systems into Intextra and present it in a high impact graphical way. Intextra will also enable them to launch other business applications from within its framework meaning that they can provide users with one place from which to access their specific business information.
